Trees, Maine
Excerpt from Light Gesture and Color:
When I was in the helicopter at dawn in Maine and saw this, I was beyond excited. IĂ„Ăwas also curious to see what it looked like from the opposite point of view, but the dealĂ„Ăis shoot what you see now. Donâ°ÛȘt count on coming back.
So I shot this then I flew around to shoot the reverse. It was nothing. Flew back to thisĂ„Ăshot and the wonderful light was gone.
Iâ°ÛȘm glad I looked at the other viewpoint, itâ°ÛȘs my obligation.Ă„ĂAlways shoot it now. It wonâ°ÛȘt be the same when you go back.
You must not think of yourself as looking at the â°ĂĂstageâ°Û from the audience. You mustĂ„Ăthink of it as theatre in the round and look at it from all sides.
