I was driving around Queens, on of the five buroughs of New York City. There was not a lot that caught my eye.
Suddenly, this did!
It stopped me dead in my tracks. It was such a perfect abstraction of light, and yet it came from a wholly logical cause and effect. It was elegant, it was self-contained, a formal facade infinitely varied and completely mesmerizing.
The shimmering, gleaming surface, reflecting not other buildings but the pure light itself, with the light revealing the form of the surface itself.
